Surrounded by lakes, mountains and a beautiful wooded area, the old picturesque village of Äkaslompolo is located in the heart of Finland. In winter a true skiing destination and in summer a place for many outdoor activities.

Who are we?

Arctic Home Experience, rental of luxury holiday homes, is a young, modern and energetic company founded in 2020 by two Dutch entrepreneurs and their partners. One lives in Äkäslomopolo (FI) and the other in Almelo (NL). They share a love for the pure beauty and adventure in Finnish Lapland. In the center of Äkäslompolo - about 125 km above the Arctic Circle - the construction of three luxury holiday homes was realized on their initiative in 2021.

The entire project was completed in December 2022; 6 luxury holiday homes, modern and fully equipped, on a private property of 9000 m2 in the center of the village.

The holiday homes contribute to an unforgettable stay. The houses are spacious, warmly decorated and fully equipped. The location is unique. Hidden between the trees and yet very close to all amenities such as shops and restaurants.

In addition to staying in our homes, we offer the opportunity to relax. Unwind in the shared kota, the sauna, or hot tub.
